Ballantrae Golf Club of Dublin / Residential Development
Dublin, OhioFrom a previously level agricultural area, developers created Ballantrae to resemble 18th century Scotland through unique rolling terrain and cobblestone landscape. It is located on 642 acres complete with 237 acres of park area and 13 acres of open space with a golf course designed by Hurdzan Fry and 1,000 homes developed by the Edwards Land Company. Edwards Land Company enlisted the expertise of EMH&T to provide civil engineering, surveying, environmental management and land planning on this project. EMH&T created a series of lakes on the golf course that not only provide aesthetic value, but also aid in controlling stormwater run-off problems that are common to the area. This project won the Honor Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Ohio in 2003.
